Calligraphers’ Hand Made Valentines

"Love is delicious!" edible Valentine

Thought I’d say “Happy Valentine’s Day” in a visual way.   “Kaligrafos”, The Dallas Calligraphy Society’s Annual Valentine Exchange was held this past Saturday and I just had to share some of the incredible work of this talented group.   If you are an aspiring calligrapher in the Dallas area, this is a wonderful place to hone your skills .  Not to mention connect with very talented and generous people!  There is always something wonderful to learn at the monthly meetings and the workshops.   And we have fun too:)  Later this month I’ll be attending a two day workshop in Spencerian with Pat Blair, a White House calligrapher.  Can’t wait!!!

” A picture says a thousand words” so I will stop with the writing and just show you the pictures!  Here are the credits as the photos appear:  First two pics are the valentine cookie I submitted for the exchange and the cookies I made to add to the buffet then… Bonnie Hoffman, Anita Hofmeister, Kathy Setina, Nan Kirby, Betty Barna, Brenda Burns, June Baty, Julie Yuhanna, Janell Wimberly, Lynette Broyles, Louise Weber and Margaret Mall.  I didn’t have space to post them all but I have put the file on my Lettering Art Studio facebook page.  Enjoy the creativity! Lots of love on Valentine’s Day!
