“Love is in the air!”Pilot themed Party featuring Boarding Pass Invitation

I ALWAYS love to get a call from my client Cristina Mappes, the very talented event planner from Holly Tripp Events. This particular day she was asking for my help creating items for a surprise 60th birthday party on Dec. 4 for her sweet dad, Buddy, who is a pilot.  Well, of course that means the invitation had to be a Boarding pass!!!

So we started there and themed out to the max ending up with…A “Welcome Aboard” wreath for the door to greet guests.

A “Check In” sign let them know where to pick up their airplane themed name tags, printed on round labels from the Paper Source.

Next they left their coats and purses in the “Baggage Claim” area.

And proceeded to enjoy the fabulous buffet, featuring a plane “flying”

a “Happy 60th Birthday Buddy” banner.

The cake, made by  the fabulous Dallas Affaires Cake Company, was no doubt as delicious as it was perfectly fitting in design.

Even the Christmas tree was trimmed with planes!

The  guests left with appropriate plane fare… bags of peanuts with a label that said “Thanks for flying with us!”

Love was definitely in the air  and best birthday wishes were flying high on Saturday night!!

Pictures from the actual event will be forthcoming but for now, here are the items photographed in my studio.

Last but not least is a pic of the Pilot themed personalized ornament I made as one of Cristina’s gifts to her dad.

On the back it says “Happy 60th Birthday!”
