These boxed baby shower invitations were a custom order for a client of the always fabulous DFW Events.

The two rattles represent the twins (a boy and a girl) that will be arriving soon:)
The prescious rattle invitation is by Stevie Streck Designs. My part was to design, create and address all the boxes.
The rhinestone “B” is for the parents to be’s last name.

Each on was addressed in hand lettering with a “Once upon a time…” banner to reflect the theme.
Adding a touch of “stickles” gave it just enough sparkle.

A total of 93 were sent to lucky guests !

This delicious custom cookie made by “It’s a Mary cake” served as a sweet favor.

Personalized tags (in my Dom Loves Mary font and Belluccia font borders) let the guests know that a donation was being made “in honor of our guests and our little ones” to the Genesis Women’s Shelter.
What a lovely gesture by the hostess!
Still have my nose to the light table creating my new calligraphy font.
In the meantime you can check out my current two calligraphy fonts Belluccia and Dom Loves Mary here.
Belluccia has remained on the Best Sellers list for 19 months was named one of Myfonts Most Popular Fonts for 2011 and is available at myfonts.com.

My second calligraphy font, Dom Loves Mary (a “December Rising Star” and 2012 Best Seller) is also available on myfonts.com.
Wishing you a Mega Monday

I created this personalized stationary for a client who was giving it to her sister as a Christmas/Wedding gift.

She gave me separate pictures of the couple and their three pets.

What’s not to love about these three cuties:)
I created a black and white drawing of the couple and each of their “children”, arranged them together then added the hand lettered last name.

I also created a return address for the envelope.
I handed over the digital file to the very capable hands of letterpress printer, Travis Friedrich of ParkLifePress.com.
He printed in a soft gray on a luxurious 100% cotton paper at 6.25″ by 4.5″ wide.
This was the second project I’ve done with Travis and both were perfection! And his pricing is very reasonable.
I hope the Bowmans were as pleased with the result as the gift giver was!
I’m busy at work designing a new font, but in the meantime, you can check out my current two calligraphy fonts here.

I was thrilled to once again do calligraphy addressing of these envelopes for my clients darling photo Christmas cards.

The photography and card design are by the very talented Angela Weedon of Angela Weedon Photography.
The lettering is my “whimsy” style. It has a simple modern feel. It will be made into a font eventually:)
I love lettering in white on a color. It just looks so fresh!
By the way, did you know that you can use my calligraphy fonts to address your own envelopes? That’s one of the reasons I created them.
To give people who love calligraphy, the ability to use it for their own projects.
I’m still getting back into “work mode” after having a lovely holiday with both of my sons at home and lots of fun visits from friends and family.
One big announcement for the new year…I’m finally opening an Etsy Shop! I will start selling my fonts there. We’ll see what else evolves.
I have plans to release at least 2 more fonts this year. Of course you’ll hear all about it as they progress.
In the meantime, here’s the links to my first two calligraphy fonts. I’m thrilled that they are both still on the Best Seller’s list!

The Dom Loves Mary font, recognized as a “Rising Star” for December 2012 and currently on the Best Sellers List, is available at myfonts.com.

Happy 2013 to everyone!
I was thrilled to see my client’s wedding featured recently on Style me pretty’s blog.

My part in this lovely event was addressing the envelopes and hand lettering the place cards in my Belluccia script.
Just a small part. But such a pleasure to contribute in any way to this cozy, intimate New York City wedding.

I love the New York themed programs!

What fun to have guests holding large white balloons walking through the streets of New York!

“Joy, Hope and Happiness..a perfect wedding banner theme.

Turquoise blue glass vases with simple flowers added a sweet touch to the tables.

A decadent five course meal on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park Hotel provided a unique and memorable dinner party that reflected their love for food and wine with 50 of their closest family and friends.

What a great rooftop view!

Homemade Honey Liqueur in beautiful bottles served as favors.

So many wonderful details made this wedding everything they wanted it to be.
These beautiful photographs are by 4Eyes Photography.
Check out more of this lovely wedding here.
Congrats again Jackie and D.D.!

Check out these personalized painted pumpkins ( can you say that five times really fast:). I created them for one of my regular clients.
I love fall! The crisp air, the leaves changing, Halloween and the colors of the season. So here’s a few more things to celebrate fall.

Here’s a Halloween invitation envelope design from last year. ( See my previous post with “DIY instructions” here. ) The client let me know that this year’s theme will involve blood:) Can’t wait to create those envelopes!

A fun idea for a Halloween themed party invitation.

My friend Laura loved getting these in the mail… some yummy fall cookies I lettered on with food coloring. These are from It’s a Mary Cake, my favorite baker. They make a great Thank You or Birthday gift.
Love the color of these flowers in my blue pot.
Whatever your day is like, I hope you have the chance to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and spot some signs of fall in your area !

The soon to be released (October) DomLovesMary font family features three different versions of the alphabet, in addition to 124 flourishes to be added to either the upper or lower case so you can create your own custom look!
As soon as the font is finished it will be released on myfonts.com on my Correspondence Ink foundry page.
I’ll be sponsoring a give away of a wedding item using the DomLovesmary font on Brenda’s blog soon. Subscribe to my blog to get the details.
In the meantime, my first cursive font, Belluccia is still on the Best Seller’s list!

Just thought I’d share a few pics of some of the envelopes I’ve had the opportunity to do for a variety of special events. It’s always a thrill to know that people will open their mailboxes and find something special:)

Back to work on my next font. I”m getting soooo close!!
Best,

I previously posted a Save the Date created with the Trellis Collection by Envelopments and featuring my cursive font, Belluccia. Now you can see the matching wedding invitation suite!
Love the floral covered pocket to hold the accompanying pieces. And the flower detail on both envelopes and stamp complete this stunning look.
This coordinated set was created by Samantha at Papyrus in Willowbend Mall in Plano, Texas. Check out the whole Trellis Collection for more clever ideas.
All the best to the future Mr. and Mrs. Bradford!

How beautiful is this wedding invitation suite from Loralee Lewis? The deep colors and vintage feel pairs wonderfully with my font, Belluccia, giving this set a timeless look.
Everything looks better finished with a bow. I love the dusty color of the ribbon that adds to the antique design.
Belluccia font and flourishes are beautifully used throughout this suite: printed on the envelopes, displaying the bride and groom’s names on the invite, announcing cocktails, dinner, and dancing, and as an accent on the RSVP card.
Thanks Loralee for designing this lovely suite with Belluccia!

I previously posted about these gorgeous peacock blue wedding envelopes I had the delight of addressing and now I would love to show you the matching place cards.
Like the invitation’s envelopes, I hand lettered at an angle in white ink. I love the look of the flourishes wandering off the edge of the card.
The contrast created by the deep colored paper and white ink is one of my favorites and makes my font, Belluccia, stand out more than in any other combination.
I loved contributing to this beautiful wedding and I hope my place cards add a special touch to the reception.
Congratulations D.D and Jackie!

I love all the different ways Belluccia was used in this collection from Haute Papier, featured on One Kings Lane. The items include: a letterpress wedding invitation, save the date, RSVP card with return envelope and darling coasters.

The neutral paper and brown ink, use of a single monogram letter and perfectly placed flourishes give the cards a rich, quality feel.

The save the date pairs Belluccia with a handsome block font, creating a sleek, couture look.

The placement of the wording and flourishes on the RSVP card and return envelope add great flair to the overall design.

And how cute are these whimsical letterpress coasters! These would add a fun detail to any wedding reception. My favorite is the Just Married that uses my wedding rings ornament. Love it!
This collection must have been a quick sell because when I went back to look, the items were no longer on the site. But go check out Haute Papier for more great designs and I will be sure to keep my eye out for this beautiful set!
