It was once again my pleasure to work with the talented planner, Misty Duncan of Misty Duncan Events for a beautiful wedding this past Saturday. She did an outstanding job as usual. The wedding was held at The Piazza in the Village in Colleyville. The wedding colors were navy and silver with pops of bright colors in the flowers. Navy is a popular choice for many brides. I personally love working with this very striking color combo. The contrast creates a lot of “wow”.
Misty came up with an especially creative way to display the escort cards by pinning them to a life sized mirror covered in moss and beautiful orange roses. Love it! Luckily my friend Kim Levine who lives near the venue was available to pop in and snap a few pics to share. She described the total effect as “gorgeous!” Thanks for your help Kim!
The Script font on the invitation ( Bickham Script Fancy) was hand lettered in either Indigo or Silver on everything from the envelopes and Guest book pages to the Table Numbers, Escort Cards and Signage. This consistency always adds a nice custom look. Below are some pics.
I loved the unique wording for the Photo Booth : ”A photo is worth a thousand words. Place a copy of your photo in our book, and do leave a note by the picture you took.”
and “Kandi” Bar ( named after the bride of course!): ”Sweet blessings we have this night with family and friends, each deserving of goodies before the night ends.” Very original and sweet !
I thought the shimmery papers from Fasclampitt would add just the right touch of glam. The silver escort envelopes came from Paper Source in North Park Center, my heaven on earth.
Another “classis Misty touch” was the embroidery on both the ribbon that wrapped around the menus as well as on each guests napkin! What a beautiful take home gift!
The whole affair was a delight to be a part of. I think my hubby, who is a huge golf fan, was more excited than I was! Thanks again Misty! Your custom details always add that special touch. I wish the very best to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mahan.

Debi’s calligraphy is stunning. She manages to add that special touch to any event. I did have the pleasure of meeting Misty Duncan too. She did a beautiful job on this wedding and was so calm and composed with her staff. I would highly recommend both of these gals.

Debi did my daughters 16th birthday invitation, the party was at a sushi restaurant with the invite being in a bento box. She does have the invitation on her website. It was awesome! a rolled up sushi, rice thrown in and even chopsticks. The invite was scripted on the bottom inside the box. Debi is truly creative and great to work with. Look forward to working with her more on her invitations, gifts, ect, I wish her much success in her endeavor!
